Facilities

Capua’s international conference facilities are a well-known reality. The building offers a selection of meeting rooms which cater for small gatherings and seminars to larger gatherings assemblies. The surrounding colonnaded porches and terraces on the ground floor offer a perfect location for coffee breaks and refreshments.

The William Morris Suite is the main conference hall. This is situated on the ground floor and is perfect for large functions. There are two other interconnecting halls, the Charles Reed and Oscar Wilde Suites. The three may be used together for larger events or partitioned to accommodate smaller events. Selma Hall is the name originally given to the palace by Biagio Tagliaferro, when it was first built in the 1830s. The town’s name of Sliema is believed to have been at the source of name ‘Selma’.

The Prince Charles of Capua Suite

The Borbon Prince of Capua took up residence at the palace with his wife, and gave it his name.

The Princess Penelope Suite

Prince of Capua eloped and married the beautiful Irish Penelope Smyth which caused him to be exiled by his brother King Ferdinand of the Two Sicilies.
